Bottled@Bishops Arms, Umeå. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some slight spicy notes as well as quite nice caramel and biscuity notes from the malts. Flavour is fruity, wooden, resiny along with some mild spicy notes as well as some bready, bicuity and mildly toffeeish notes. Good balance between hops and malts, and leaves a nice bittery fruity aftertaste.

Draught@Bishops Arms, Umeå. Reddish copper colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is hops, some fruity notes as well as some slight nutty notes, still quite strong on the hops. Flavour is easy going on the malty side with some wooden and resiny notes apart from the nice fruity and floral hops, which do end in a quite bitter note. Nice Session strength IPA.

(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm, 24 Jan 2015) Reddish amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, black-currant, citrus peel and grapefruit. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, black-currant, grapefruit, caramel and a generous citric bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Solid and well made IPA. Nice one.

(Draught at Ardbeg Embassy, Stockholm, 18 Dec 2014) Dark brown colour, almost black, with rocky beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, pine needles, gentle aromas of smoke, liquorice and black rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, liquorice, cacao, black rye bread, hints of smoke and a generous piney bitterness in a fairly dry finish. Medium body, quite dry. Complex and tasty, with a gentle smoke character. Very nice.
