Since I like radlers and I like most of point’s mild beers, I couldn’t wait to pop this bottle. From a twist off bottle opened with a bottle opener, it looks pretty attractive at first then the lemony aroma hits ya. First taste is cutting and refreshing. Has a slight dull aftertaste but its still quite refreshing. And yes, I can sense a little grapefruit, gives it almost a mild hop sensation. Not bad overall. Was not disappointing.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with an enormous foamy dark brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was malty, cola, a bit of wood and coffee. The flavor was mildly bitter, roasty, semi-sweet, coffee beans, vanilla cream and a touch of cola. Medium length finish. Medium body. Pleasant.

Aroma: The aroma is moderately sweet apple cider, with some underlying yeast and hay as well
Appearance: It pours a hazed gold color with a thin white head and medium lacing
Flavor: The flavor is sweet apple, with some tart notes as well, yeast, hay, and a little grass
Palate: The body is light-medium, not watery, fairly clean, with a nice, mild dry finish
Overall Impression: This is a pretty solid cider. Nice mouthfeel. It's pretty solid, and hit me kinda right as I was feeling something a little sweet and a little tart.

Aroma: The nose is fairly thin, some light coffee and roasted notes sneak through w/o much else
Appearance: It pours a brown-black color with a thin, tan head and some quite minimal lacing
Flavor: The flavor is coffee/roast as well, less thin than the aroma, solid, dry coffee-like flavor
Palate: A decent overall feel, medium bodied, though closer to light than full, with lively carbonation
Overall Impression: I've rarely tried a coffee beer with less aroma than this one. If you really put forth some effort, the aroma is solid, but it certainly doesn't leap out of the glass. The rest of the beer kind of follows suit, with everything just feeling kind of muted (expect for the carbonation). Thought this was kind of uninspired.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 1/8/2015. Pours hazy golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings one the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big apricot, peach, lemon, pear, apple, wheat, honey, cracker, light clove, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of apricot, citrus/floral hops, and pale malt notes; with good strength. Very bright and authentic fruity notes in the aromas. Taste of apricot, peach, lemon, pear, apple, wheat, honey, cracker, light clove, and floral/grassy earthiness. Slight herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of apricot, peach, lemon, pear, apple, wheat, honey, cracker, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice complexity and solid robustness of apricot, citrus/floral hops, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/fruit balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and fairly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very good fruited wheat ale. All around good balance and solid robustness of apricot, citrus/floral hops, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. The aromas were more impressive than the flavors. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, coriander, wheat, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of citrus peel spice, pale malt, and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, coriander, wheat, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Slight herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange zest, coriander, wheat, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good robustness of citrus peel spice, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a good beer, but it tastes completely like a pale wheat ale. There is very minimal yeast character. All around good balance and robustness of citrus peel spice, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering as a pale wheat ale.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 12/12/2014. Pours nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a 2 finger dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toast, brown bread, nuttiness, herbal, light coffee, light dark fruit, and roast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted/bready malt and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toast, brown bread, nuttiness, herbal, light coffee, light dark fruit, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toast, brown bread, nuttiness, light coffee, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly creamy, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a very good brown porter style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to drink. Was expecting a black IPA according to the label, but this tastes like a standard brown porter overall. A nicely enjoyable offering.
