12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 2/5/2015. Pours very hazy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, light banana/clove, wheat, biscuit, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus hops, pale malt, and fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, light banana/clove, wheat, biscuit, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Minimal floral/grassy bitterness and slight wheat tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange zest, pear, apple, wheat, biscuit, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness, complexity, and balance of citrus hops, pale malt, and fruity yeast flavors; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with very smooth and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very good pale wheat ale. All around good robustness, balance, and complexity of citrus hops, pale malt, and fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

The cider is a dull orange-yellow color. Clouded over completely. Some fizzy white bubbles kick up as the beer is poured but nothing sticks around. It looks a lot like orange juice. The aroma is very orangey with a base of apples. It sorta works, but it also smells a bit off, like soured orange juice. The taste is similar. It’s refreshing and nice, but part of me just tastes orange juice that is a bit too old. It does come close to a mimosa, and perhaps, if I liked that drink more, I’d appreciate the cider mix more. Still, it’s a funny mix of sweet and sharp flavors. The finish is a bit sticky. I’m enjoying it, but I don’t think that I’d want more than one.

Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright citrus/pine hops and moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, cracker, bread, light honey, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, pineapple, pine, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish fora good bit. Damn nice robustness and complexity of bright citrus/pine hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a nice crisp malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pale ale. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/pine hops and moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
