Poured from a bottle. Aroma is dominated by orange juice and apple juice. Not much to it other than sweet fruit juice. Pours a rather cloudy, pale yellow gold with a small, thin white head that quickly recedes and disappears. No lacing or legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with an orange citrus note dominating, but a background apple cider character present as well. Not much depth or complexity. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, not very interesting. I’m sure kids would like this, but it lacks character and complexity. Easy to drink though.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 1/29/2015. Pours fairly crystal clear deep copper/amber color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of caramel, toast, biscuit, brown sugar, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, toast, biscuit, brown sugar, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light earthy herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, biscuit, brown sugar, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/bready malt and earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Nicely clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is a nice Vienna lager style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/bready malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

12oz bottle pours with a hazy deep gold body that has copper hues and supports a near white head of foam. The aroma initially comes across as tired and old and kind of dusty. As it warms a bit I start to get malty spicy hops, floral hops, a dash of soapiness and then an all too faint earthy tea note at the end of the draw. The taste starts right off with malts and resiny hop bitterness that quickly gets into a firm pine note as well as some bitter floral hops. The malts stay right there and bring up a bit of a biscuit quality midway where an off putting light soapiness is noticed as well. Hmm. This is resiny but lacks some of the body and flavor to give it a bit of balance.

Single Bottle from HyVee, Ankeny, IA. I quite welcome the slightly heavy smell of apricot under the cap and in the pour. As expected, it overwhelms any smell of malt here, but this is a strongly scented fruit. Clean, clear golden color with a hint of rose under a fluffy white head. Taste has a bit of wheat and malt running neck and neck with an apricot flavor. Happily, it’s not too sweet, just enough to suggest a light apricot nectar. Not very much alcohol found in this. It is a little heavier than a light abv beer, suggesting some of the apricot was added after fermentation. Still, we have a nice fruit beer on the shelves just in time for summer.

Pour is a clear copper with a large white head. Aroma is a decent hop with plenty of sweet caramel malt. Flavor is more of the sweet malt, the hops kinda disappear. Finish is a nice malt but again I would have like more of the hops to make an appearance. Strictly average and that pretty much sums up this brewer.

Pretty good smelling, thought i smelled some dishwater but it may have been from the glass. Its surprisingly a little cloudy on a pale colored base, looks more like a beer than a cider. Good overall taste, reminiscent of apple pie or cobbler fer sure. Goes down way too easy. Quite sweet, not much dryness in this stuff. Good sizzle makes this rather enjoyable and easy to take. Many cinnamon ciders are overdone but I think this is just about right. Yes, OK by me. One of the better cinnamon ciders in my memory.
