Draught @ Draught 55. Another inky black beer with creamy chocolate colored head, they seem to be proliferating. This one has a doughy aroma, low carbonation, sweetish taste with roasted malt at the background. It actually disappointed me a bit, I expected a stronger taste with possibly mocha flavors, but no. Well there is still some lingering chocolatey taste after a longish finish. Good but not great.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on the day I returned from a Hawaiian vacation during a brutal Chicago winter. Ugh. Appearance is a thin pitch black with a frothy tan head. Aroma of roasted chocolate malt and dark roast coffee, smell is subtle but pretty nice. Taste finishes dry and not too sweet with nice espresso and chocolate notes, like a dessert beer without being too sweet. I’m liking this one, definitely others that do the style better, but this one is a good one.

Bottle from the Standing Order. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Nose - grapefruit and hop resin. Cake mixture in the background. Taste - more of the same. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - yes enjoyable.

Bottle. Fresh strawberries and apple juice aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet-tart strawberry apple juice flavor. Pleasant.

Bottle - Lots of coffee roast and a touch of malts and astringency. Deep jet black with a decent light brown head. Coffee, chocolate and a bit of toffee. Nice, sweet and desert like.

Bottle. Pours dark brown tan head. Nose/taste of fresh espresso bean, roast chocolate, coffee creamer and chocolate toast. Lighter Medium body.

Bottle. Cinnamon and apple juice aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet cinnamon and apple cider flavor. Could be considered an alco-pop but at least it tastes pretty good - very tasty.

Keg at Mellow Mushroom Johnson City. Hazy orange yellow with no head. Aroma of strong orange, tart apple, mild vanilla. The taste is tart orange juice, hints of apple and vanilla. Thin bodied, mild carbonation.
