Bottle. Amber beer with a strong smooth head. The aroma is malty with some bitterness, and the flavour is malty and roasted with some richness and yeastiness. Overall a good beer that is more drinkable as you go on. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle gifted to me as part of a World Market beers of the world 9 pack. The pour is a clear lighter golden with a one inch white that falls fast. The aroma is bright synthetic orange sweetness, grass, coriander, and a general Belgian yeastiness. The taste is the sweet orange, coriander, then a general spice muddled yeast taste. The palate is medium to light bodied, low carbonation level and the yeast flavors linger. Not a terribly good Wit.

The Bodega, Bushwick tap ($6): Pours a blackish color with a creamy head. Aroma is chocolate with roasted malts. Taste is chocolatey, a bit sour, and somewhat sweet. The slight sourness was kind of annoying. All in all, not terrible, but it ainβt the shit.

Bottle. Light caramel malt aroma. Amber with large tan head. Very light sweet caramel malt and mildly bitter herbal hops flavor. Mild alcohol finish. Okay - I prefer this to the spiced ones though.

This beer pours a clear dark copper color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of dark fruit and spices. Medium body with flavors of sweet malt, raisin and spice. The finish is sweet with a caramel malt aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a mahogany brown clor with a small beige head that disapates soon enough. Extremely faint toasted malt aroma. Subtle bittersweet roasted malt flavor has a medicinal character. Very one-dimensional. Dryish peppery hops in finish. Overall, rather disappointing with very little complexity at all. Not like any Barleywine i have ever tasted.
