Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very dark golden color with a huge yellow-white head that lingered forever and produced good lacing. The aroma was sweet, tangy, a touch vegetal and soapy. The flavor was very sweet and sugary, tangy, yeasty and a touch vegetal with light candied fruits underneath. The finish was long with tangy table sugar. Moderately full body. Ok.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel-amber color with a huge orange-beige head that lingered. The aroma was moderately fruity, piney and a touch minty with a hint of caramel underneath. The flavor was bitter, tangy and had moderate notes of spruce and pine and lighter notes of fruity and floral hops. There was a hint of mint and a moderate caramel presence. The beer turns a bit dry towards the medium length finish. Medium body. Alcohol well hidden. Solid.

12oz bottle. Pitch black with a thin, oily, rusty-beige head. Aroma is not so chocolate heavy, rather it almost has a mild dark fruit thing going on. Big and full bodied, but highly quaffable. Rather mellow carbonation, there is a slight syrupy sugary taste, but overall the end product is pretty smooth and creamy. Rather restrained hop-wise, with some burnt chocolate and coffee tones adding to the bitterness. Not unlike a Baltic Porter in a lot of respects. A touch uninspired, but OK nonetheless.

Bottle. Pours a lovely coppery orange with a fluffy head and aromas of dusty grain, faint orange and citrus and a little caramel. Flavor is pretty sweet and malty, with a little bitter and citrusy hops in the finish. This is OK, but doesn’t go much past that.

Copper color. A little sweet, but lots of malt. Grass, dry grain, brown sugar. Hops are secondary, but there are there, and are felt as a mild burn more than tasted. Still, a decent beer. Fair palate.

12 oz bottle courtesy of my brother in law. Pour is a dark copper, with a touch of amber peaking through and a smallish off white head. Aroma of dense caramel sweet biscuit malt along with some resin floral and mildly earthy hops. Balance is more towards the malt. Taste is the nose, more or less exactly. The warming sweetness of the malt paired with resin floral earthy hops. Palate is medium to heavy bodied, lower carbonation and a long sweet finish - some honey in the back. Not a ton of complexity, though nicely balanced between hop and malt and easy to drink. Not sure how fresh this was, though the lack of freshness may have led to that well balanced beer.

Pours a nice orangish-brown with small head. Intense aroma of pumpkin and nutmeg. Flavors are pumpkin spice with roasted grain and bitter hop finish. Just a bit too sweet to be entirely successful and a bit thin in the palate. Worth a try.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is faint, some malts and that is a reach. Flavor is again very light with some bitterness. This is almost not a beer b/c there is no real substance to this. Another poor one from point.

Translucent deep orange-brown body, thin buff head. Nose of caramel, brown sugar, plum, toffee, and fig, sweet and thin. Body is plummy and somewhat chewy, with the same dark fruit and caramel characters noted in the aroma. Residual sugars and spice linger in the finish. This beer is probably best in small doses, as the dominance of the dark fruit and spice notes becomes cloying after a few sips.

12oz bottle. Filtered amber-brown color. No real head...minimal trace at best. Mild chocolate and amber malt aroma, sort of like a mild Doppelbock. The taste is the same, with a smooth milk chocolate layer of smoothness among the solid background of sweet maltiness. Some amber malt and mild hop spiciness, but overall very smooth and rich. A pretty nice beer from Point, not world-class, but a worthwhile beer to mix it up with.
