Description
Christian Bourganel, entrepreneur and innovator, lover of beer and Ardèche, was considering a solution to promote these two elements. After a few months of reflection and work with the IFBM (Institut Français de Brasserie et Malterie) in Nancy, the fruit beers of the Ardèche were born in 1997, initially brewed by the Brasserie Castelain, but the stated objective was the creation of a micro-brewery in Ardèche.
The installation of the brewery in Vals les Bains is done in 2000 and on June 1, 2000, the Brasserie Bourganel offered its first Ardèche brew to local customers. Faced with the success of these beers, the Bourganel Brewery acquired new, more efficient equipment in 2004, and since then, each year, expansions have been carried out. In February 2006, the brewing room was changed and fermentation and aging tanks were added to increase the production capacity to 4,000 hectoliters per year.

Light haze on this gold beer, tidy white head. Semi dry crispy palate. Nougat! Pretty well nailed the nougat here - Sweet candy, nuts and the even the glace fruits. Mild floral perfume. Dry finish, a little papery. A gimmick beer but done well.

Clear amber beer, small off white head. Slightly soft palate with a sprinkle of very fine carbonation. Sweet malt with a semi cream and light paper vibe. A little tangy dried fruits under the sweet chesnut. Semi dry finish. Mild minerals. Okay.

Light haze on this gold - amber beer. Little white head. Light crispy dry palate. Lagerish malt with an odd perfumey thing going on. Caraway nuttyness. Dry finish with a whisper of hops. All right if a little left field.

Cloudy purple toned beer with a frothy pink head! Light palate, a little crispy and semi dry. Odd burned cotton starts off! Pleasant tangy blackberry follows. Mild creamy malt before the dry finish. Okay fruit but the burned cotton is pretty off putting.

Choć nie lubię jadalnych kasztanów to piwo wypadło nawet dobrze. Trochę posmak nijaki i karmelowo-mdły. Pietra z Korsyki wydaje mi się bardziej ciekawsza jeśli chodzi o kasztanowe piwo.

Ciekawe i aromatyczne piwo z nugatem. Pasuje do ciasta i deserów

330ml bottle shared by Finn. Reddish-amber body, unclear. White head, nice artwork to the glass. Plain sweet berries to the nose. Taste of strawberry mingled with raspberry as well as a few hints of earthy malts. Dry and sweet ending. Unvaried, but drinkable (at Finns in Tromsø, 02.01.2013).

330ml bottle thanks to Finn for sharing. Clear copper coloured body. Bubbly white head leaving dotted spots to the glassware. Restrained aroma of earthy, mid-sweet malts. Prominent taste of honey sweetness. Not overly sweet to the ending. Soft and nice (at Finns in Tromsø, 02.01.2013).

330ml bottle kindly shared by Finn. Near-clear amber body, bubbly, slightly off-white head. Fine lacing down the glass. Inviting aroma of herbal hops, nuts and caramel. Flavoured with nuts, almond, milk caramel together with a touch of vanilla oak. Dry, bittersweet ending. Different and quite likeable (at Finns in Tromsø, 02.01.2013).

Flaske 0,33l fra Brune Rousse Houblon, Nice. Brygg 91. Delt med Rune under rateseanse i H9 2 Jan 13. Dyp rødbrun. Middels luftig skum med mye lacing. Kjempesterk jordbæraroma. Silkemyk tungefølelse. Smaken glir i retning av bringebær. Blir ikke for søt. Bra - men litt kjedelig.
