Description
The Croglin Brewery was a small 2.5 barrel brewery located in the basement of the Croglin Castle Hotel in Kirkby Stephen. The brewery changed ownership and name to become The Nine Standards Brewery in August 2011, before relocating to Settle in 2012 to become the Settle Brewery. Some beers are still brewed using the Nine Standards brand.
Head brewer, Ian, has been churning out the good stuff for many a year. Born in 2012, Settle Brewery has been using traditional brewing methods coupled with working with local & seasonal ingredients to produce an arsenal of siba award-winning beers.

Cask @ Livery Rooms, Keighley. It does taste like the nobility named tea drink... but obviously alcohol infused in this instance.

Half-pint, cask: 9th Sep 2016, The Washington, Blackpool. Clear amber, off-white topping. Hedgerow fruits vie with a bitter, dry brew: liked it, which is unusual for me with single hop beers.

Bottle thanks to cgarvieuk. Appearance - bottle thanks to cgarvieuk. Nose - hay and biscuits. Taste - malt bag, very dry. Palate - light bodied with a crunchy texture and a dry but not refreshing finish. Overall - a bit challenging. Manages to be dry but still not very refreshing.

Bottle thanks to cgarvieuk. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - citrus and plant stalks. Taste - more of the same. Some cereal. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - solid but not so interesting.

Sampled @ GBBF Day 2. Clear golden color, average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly hops, nicely bitter, hay, slightly grassy hops, light to moderately bitter. Quite nice.
