Description
Une Anneé, an Independent Craft Brewery, was born, in 2013, on the near west side of Chicago, with the quest of making fine Belgian inspired ales for all beer lovers. Founded by architect and Chicago native, Jerry Nelson, Une Anneé, has expanded it’s offerings over the years with an emphasis on fruited and unfruited American Wile Ales and Barrel Aged Stouts. In 2017, the brewery moved to neighboring Chicago suburb, Niles, IL and expanded to include a taproom. The working brewery in the background lends a hand to creating a laid back atmosphere where you can sit back and enjoy some of your favorite craft beers on tap.

Plum and tobacco are most prominent here. Some grape must and florals. Dark maroon pour with ok initial head. Boozy sweet finish. Not bad, but probably needs some refining in key parts like Edith Piaf. Tap at Dominion Parking lot.

Modern classic. The best canned Quad I’ve had and better than a lot of the bottles. Blind tested, I’d say this was straight from Belgium.

So crushable. Not quite as funky as I was hoping, though.

Gdamn that's a lot of black currant and black currant funk, medium heavy vanilla, lots lots lots of flavor. Tart heavy but the vanilla balanced it out.

Very sweeet, perhaps too sweet. Malt flavor reminiscent of a dark Belgian ale.

Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a hazy rose gold with small white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is strong earth, oak, funk, blueberry, floral. Thin body, passionfruit, blueberry, light funk, oak, nice tartness, fruity, enjoyed this.

Can. For as strong as this is, the palate is surprisingly light. Roasted malt and a little chocolate and sugar. Very drinkable, and it reminds me of a dunkel.
