About
Blue Moon is known for its Belgian-Style Wheat Ale which was created in 1995 by Keith Villa, a brewer at the Sandlot Brewery at Coors Field, Denver. It was originally brewed in the Coors brewery in Golden, Colorado. In the summer of 2016 a new state-of-the-art brewery was opened in Denver’s RiNo District. Since then we have been brewing fan favorites (old and new), and experimenting with new and unique ingredients on our pilot brewing system.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy, golden orange with a high, tight, white head that lasts forever. Aromas of orange peel, spice, and dough. Taste is smooth and sweet with flavors of orange and spices. Light-bodied with a slick texture. Carbonation is average and the finish is sweet and long.
Overall a nice beer, perfect for a hot summer day while lounging by the pool.

Taste is slightly sweet with flavors of coffee, caramel, and cola. Medium-bodied with a creamy texture and average carbonation. Finish is a bit sweet with coffee being the last impression before fading away. Overall, not too bad.

Taste is bitter-sweet with flavors of burnt-caramel, unsweetened chocolate, and a hint of sour citrus (e.g. lemon, kumquat, or Buddha’s hand). Medium-bodied with slick texture and average carbonation. Finish is a bit on the astringent side, which I find a bit off-putting.

Big thanks to my son in law nathan for this brew! Promenent mango nose. From a bottle this is quite hoppy, surprizingly so. Must be a wheat ale. Not as bubbly as I was expecting for a blue moon.
