Cask at The Royal Oak, Gretton. Clear pale gold, white head. Aroma of pale malts, slightly bready, fruity hop. Taste much the same, pale bready malts, citrusy, light floral, crisp bitter finish. Enjoyed this one.
Also had this later in the day at Corner Cupboard, Winchcombe, where I found it sweeter and the hop flavours not coming through as well. If I'd have only had this to rate I wouldn't have given it as high a score.

Handpull cask at the Morgan, Great Malvern. Light-ish gold, clear with a film of white head and good lacing. Deep bready notes on the nose with comparatively bright hop resulting in some overripe citrus and floral notes. The initial sweet taste leaves quickly, leaving a full bitterness in the mouth. The body is light and maybe a little bit oily, with next to zero carbonation. Not bad.

Old rating - A 500ml bottle picked up on my trip to Wales last spring. It pours amber with a white head. Aromas & tastes of fruits & malt. Sweet malty finish. Decent older style ale

(Cask conditioned). Sampled at the Wear Valley CAMRA beer festival. (Room temperature). Low (natural) carbonation, some lacing. Black. Surprisingly fruity and flowery notes in the aroma. Roasted flavour with fruity tones, nice bitterness.

Bottle at home having cut the lawn before cooking dinner. My life rocks. It was slightly chilled and poured well. Sweet on the palate, perhaps too sweet for me, but still a good beet and perfect for the occasion.

Half-pint, cask ale at 1000 Trades. Clear golden-amber body, spotty lacing, tine white head. Moderately moments of herbal hops and mid-sweet malts on the nose. Mixed taste of mild caramel malts and oily hops. Mid-sweet malty fruity end. Clean on the swallow. Decent. (Birmingham, 23.04.2025).
