Bottle from Gulating. Slightly unclear deepå golden body with a decent off-white head. Aroma is malty with ripe citric fruit and marmalade. Flavor is quite malty, some biscuit, sweet, ripe fruit, oranges and average bitter. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste. Quite decent old school session IPA with a distinct maltbase, but feels a bit plain and straight forward. Easy come, easy go kind of beer.

Re-rating 2020
Almost clear golden body with a medium sized white head. Aroma of malt, grain and light floral and fruity hops. Taste is like a fine classic pilsner with a little extra malt and hops, refreshing and balanced. Simply a nice pilsenr. Way better than the 2019 edition I have tasted previously.
Previous 2019 rating: (5-3-5-3-10) Bottle from Gulating. Slightly unclear golden body with a medium sized white head. Mild and pretty general ‘beer’ aroma, weak malt and hint of general fruit. Flavor is medium sweet malt, hint of bread, hint of citric fruit and low bitterness. Medium body and short aftertaste. This is the definition of a general beer, nothing wrong, but there is really nothing extra at all to this. Weak, mild and general all over.

Can from Gulating. Unclear golden body with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is mostly light pale malt with some kind of citric fruit in the background. The taste is pretty average and ''beer flavor'' in general. Can’t hardly tell what style this is supposed to be really. Some pale malt, some kind of light fruitiness, not much bitterness. I really don’t think we need more of this kind of general beer to celebrate, cell, or whatever anymore. This was boring.

Bottle from Gulating. Unclear deep golden body with a medium sized white head. Aroma has malt, some ripe peach and hint of citric fruit. Flavor is quite smooth malt, some biscuit, ripe fruit and citric fruit, decent bitterness. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste that's mostly bitter and fruity. Kinda OK, but not very interesting really, there's plenty of more interresting pale ales there.

Bottle. It pours an almost clear body, golden in color and with a small offwhite head. Citrusy, piney aroma with fluor and some bready malts. It's medium bodied and nicely carbonated, dry and bitter. Too bitter and not enough complex. Bready malts and piney, resiny hops, with even more bitterness. Lasting resiny, piney, bitter finish. Unbalanced and not very interesting this one. 190830

Bottle. It's hazy in the glass, golden in color and with a small white head. Quite neutral aroma, mostly fruity, with some pale malts in the back. Some tropical fruits, yeast and grass. It's medium bodied, semi-dry and nicely carbonated, with a soft bitterness. Pine cones, grass, notes of grapefruit and some pale malts. Dry, bitter finish. Not much interesting going on here. 190830

Bottle. A hazy golden colored beer with a small white head. The aroma it's on the fruity side with grass, hay and some bread. Grass. It's medium bodied, dry and nicely carbonated, with a nice piney bitterness. Grass, fruitiness and a touch of resin. Dry, piney finish. A quite uninteresting one, but I like the dryness. Refreshing though. 190830

Bottle. It's an unclear dark orange- golden colored beer with a dense, finger-thick offwhite head. Lightly fruity aroma with some pale malts. Peach notes and some grass. It's medium bodied and quite smooth on the palate, nicely carbonated, with a very light bitterness. Fruity flavor too, peach and some yellow apples, with pale malts and a good dash of yeast. Fruity, yeasty finish. Nothing to be proud of this. 190830

500ml bottle, L225, shared with Finn after dinner at Den Glade Gris. Pours a deep rosewood coloured body, bubbles on the surface and dotted spots on the glass. Malt-driven aromas with a touch of dark berry skins. Mixed taste of bread, marmalade and caramel malts. Dry malt-berry ending. Medium bodied. Pretty nice. (Oslo 02.12.2018).
