Bottle. A lightly hazy brown beer topped by a dense, small, beige head. There’s cloves in the aroma, at a decent level, with caramel, bread and a touch of diacetyl. Is medium to full bodied with a decent carbonation level. Cloves, caramel, some nuts and bread in the flavor. Quite balanced, but also rather boring unfortunately. Not my preferred Christmas beer, but sure drinkable. 151107

On tap at Patrick’s. Close to black in colour, topped by a dense beige head. Sweet, spiced aroma with cloves and cinnamon. Roasted malts and some cocoa. Dark sugar. It’s full bodied, softly carbonated and lightly warming, with flavors of roasted malts, cocoa, spices and a hoppy bitterness. Lasting malt dominated finish. Quite decent this one, even though it’s spiced. 151106

Big beige head. Opaque black body. Fruity spicy earthy aroma with sugary caramel notes. Dry resiny earthy roasty taste with spicy wooden notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish earthy roasty perfumy aftertaste with spicy wooden notes. Lovely! Highly drinkable and full of flavour. (0.5l bottle, at Cardinal, Stavanger.)

Flaske 500ml. Gave fra Yngvar. Delt med Rune på Nerstranda 14 Okt 15. Lys gulbrun. Litt uklar. Høyt tett skum som daler sakte. Spotlacing. Aroma av mandarin med et lite gjærpreg. Lett-drikkelig. Smaken balansert. Sitrusfrukter. Blir litt tørr etter hvert. Vel mye kullsyre.

Clear medium to dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, straw, nutty, earthy, light caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, nutty, earthy, light caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150828]
