Bottle. A hazy, reddish dark brown beer with a small, dense, off-white to light beige head. The aroma is at first sickening wort-like, but then there’s roasted malts, some coffee, a touch of dried fruits and some hoppy scents. It’s medium bodied, quite dry and with a soft, low leveled carbonation. The flavor has some roasted malt and hoppy kind of bitterness, with a wort-like touch and some coffee and prunes. Lasting finish. A rather messy and not very pleasant one, couldn’t bring myself to piss off my liver by finishing the bottle. 150128

Fra flaske på Cardinaltreff jan-15: ilfg. Sigmund er denne tørrhumlet med Citra (Warrior er bitter-og smakshumlen), og det gir et godt inntrykk av mango og appelsin sammen med litt kvae. Smaken likeledes, med karamell som fyller fint ut i kantene. Deilig appelsinpreg i ettersmaken. En av de beste jeg til nå har smakt fra LB.

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 26.01.15. Slightly hazy orange. Small off-white head. Strong aroma of marmelade and artificial orange sweets. Similar taste.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours light amber with small head. Aroma of pine needles, cat piss, grapefruit, tropical fruits, a little malt. Sweet taste with tropical fruits, orange, and malty bread. Dry mouthfeel. Sweet and bitter aftertaste, astringent.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.2%. Brewed with Warrior hops, dry hopped with Citra. Orange to amber colour, moderately hazy, moderate white (or slightly off-white) head. Strong aroma of citric and piney hops, a hint of tomcat. Distinctly piney and resinous flavour (maybe too much pine), medium dry, also notes of grapefruit. Reasonably bitter.

Small bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is kind of neutral, wet grain, caramel, hints of spices and dried fruits. Taste is slightly sweet grainy, caramel, wet grain, grass, chocolate, hints of spices and dried fruits. Little bitterness, watery mouthfeel. So boring!
