Bottle. It’s an unclear, orange-golden beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma is sourish in a strange non-lemony, non-milky, non-vinegar way, reminding more of a pile of garbage actually. Some citrus peel and wheat blends in, and there’s also a touch of yeast and cloves. The flavor is better, fortunately, with a pleasant bitterness lasting for a good while, but there’s some of that strange sour touch in the mouth too. Banana and cloves, some orange. Medium body, quite hard carbonation, but at a pretty low level. Overall, a weird and rather unpleasant beer I certainly won’t buy again. 141206

Gylden brun noe tåkete med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter syrlige røde bær og noe nøtter. Søt smak, bringebær, med noe bittrrhet og en del krydder.

500 ml botle @ Cardinal. Unclear yellow/orange body with a rather small but lacing white head. Aroma is typical hefeweizen, but a bit weak. Light fruity, banana and yeast. Flavor is sweet, fruity spicy and some yeast. Everything seems to be present but the beer itself seems to lack some of the freshness that’s expected from the style. Medium to thin body and short aftertaste. Drinkable but there is a lot of better choices.

500ml bottle @ Cardinal. Unclear amber body with a big, creamy off-white head. Strange and unusually in aroma, difficult to describe, it may be something like seaweed but it’s so easy to be affected by the label and the story. It’s strange like some kind of unusually spices I have never experienced before. The flavor is sweet and strange as well, there is some malt, but the other stuff dominates and it feels more like something from the sea, but definitively not fish. A bit fruity as well with hint of boiled vegetables and some bitterness towards the end. Medium body and quite distinct aftertaste with the same seaweed experience. More interesting than really good, but actually more drinkable than a bad pilsner.

Flaske delt på Mandag i Annen, Cardinal sep-14: inneholder hverken koriander eller appelsinskall som en wit vanligvis gjør, men den spiselige sjøalgen søl. Luykter og smaker av spinat, litt salt oig litt frukt. Er sikkert god til en pose reker på kaia en solskinnsdag, og definitivt annerledes. Mer interssant enn god.
