Bax brewed, 9.7%. Looks a touch darker than previous Spartacus hazies, hazy dark yellow, firm dense white head. Smell is bright, hoppy, clear Citra, fresh. Firm body, good bite, ok carbonation. Taste is more Mosaic than smell, mango, apricot, bit bitter.

Sample (from omhper). Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is tropical fruits, some herbal and mild lemon grass, but a rather mild aroma, nothing pushing through. Flavour is peach, some passion fruit, lychee, mild spiciness and a wee bit alcohol burn.

Sample (from omhper). Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, nectary and very lychee tones. Flavour is lychee and papaya, some toffee and mild fruity tones. Not much bitterness to it. Very nice.

Pale and hazy. Medium head. Pale malts have a touch of thickness and the alcohol kicks in a bit. Medium apparent bitterness. The phantasm takes this away from pilsner mode and while it’s not half bad, it’s not as unique as I was hoping it would be.

Opaque, yellow. Thick head. Rich hop on this, nice and terpy, soft bready malt like a nice Portuguese roll. Excellent balance, all elements hitting. Awesome.

On Tap at Homestead, Meridian. Cloudy light beige orange. Full lasting white head Mandarin and other light sweet tropical fruits. Low bitterness and fairly sweet generally.

I had been looking forward to this, and with good reason it seems. Gorgeous thickness, rich flavour, and with just enough boozyness for a warm feeling. Sweet with loads of flavour, while remaining balanced. Soft bourbon, rich chocolate, roasty coffee.
