'Double blonde' by Bos, a brewery in the middle of France; the brewery sells it as just "Bière Double Blonde" as well and this is apparently an alias or near-alias of that beer, intended for tourism in Ambleteuse in the northwest. Big thanks to my girlfriend Goedele for the bottle! Egg-white, moussy, lightly lacing, frothy and more or less stable head, warm peachy golden blonde robe, misty with a strong 'storm' of sparkling rushing throughout, turning deeper orangey-peach and hazier with sediment. Aroma of ripe peach, banana peel, pineapple, honey, brioche bread, coriander seed, dried orange peel, old potatoes, jute rope, hints of green melon, dusty old allspice, pumice and a whiff of iron. Fruity onset, sweetish but not cloying, hinting at peach, banana and slight pear, fizzily carbonated with supple, soft mouthfeel, softened further by the use of oats; bready, 'dry-wheaty', cereally core, slight sweetish honey touch remaining followed by some coriander and dried orange peel spiciness (though both remaining relatively subtle, luckily) and mild floral hop bitterness, which extends well into the finish. Straightforward Belgian style blonde indeed, enjoyable if that slight iron effect is ignored, but also rather forgettable. Not badly brewed though - I might be interested in sampling other beers from this to me unknown brewery.
