Notes from January 2011 Cheaper then Yuengling these days & so much cleaner, so why not? BB: 1.20.11 Chilled & shielded in cardboard rest assured. Carlsberg Pils glass. Last bottle of a couple cases left over from Christmas. Now if I could only put away my decorations. Bubbly, fragile head. Golden, worn-in color. Patagonia-like lace. Smell is clean, with light herbage & dry malt. Freshness lends it a green edge, but otherwise, it's just adequate. Watery, dry cereal. Barely any caramelization. Sturdy, balancing earthy/steel hops. Dry grain/leafy finish. A light pils, with an interesting enough bitter quality. Carbonation is great. It's dry throughout. Alcohol is in-check. Clean, quality budget brew. Needs a touch more flavor, but I can easily swallow a gallon of this.
