About
It all started with eight visionary men who founded the “Vereinsbrauerei Berliner Gastwirte zu Berlin AG” on February 1st, 1872 in Rixdorf. They established a modern brewery within one year, which was opened on July 19, 1873. The first public serving takes place on this day. In 1890 the brewery decides, as one of the first breweries in Germany, to brew a Pilsen beer. It is called - based on its southern German relatives - "Berliner Kindl". In 1910 the brewery is renamed "Berliner Kindl Brauerei AG". In 2006 Berliner Kindl returns to its former location in the east of Berlin. The entire range is now brewed in the Berliner Kindl Schultheiss brewery in Lichtenberg.

Bottle, 6%. Metallic, bready aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Sparkling. Unstable white head. The flavour is somehow malty, but more like sugar than actual malt. Grass and dust. A little alcohol bitterness.

"Märkischer Landmann", das Schwarzbier der Berliner Kindl Brauerei, Flasche aus einem Berliner Edeka, 14.7.2026. - Schwarzbraun. - Nase recht leer, matt röstmalzig, leise Limonade, blasse Herbe. - Antrunk mild und ein wenig wäßrig röstmalzig mit einer Andeutung von Frucht oder eher Limonade. Vage Hopfenherbe, dezente Süße, etwas Süßsauer. Im Abgang mild malzbitter und vage krautig hopfenherb. - Ein Industriebier halt, nirgends preiswürdig aber zum Nebenbeitrinken noch brauchbar. Meine frühere Bewertung - "Grobschlächtiges, schwer genießbares Schwarzbier mit widerlichen Fehlaromen" (5.1.2014) mußte ich doch löschen: so einseitig würde ich heute nicht mehr urteilen.

Jasno złote wręcz słomkowe klarowne piwo z solidną pianą. Delikatny aromat chmielu i słodu. W smaku wytrawne z lekką goryczką.

Barwa brunatna, klarowne, piana w kolorze złamanej bieli, dość obfita, dość trwała.

W aromacie słodowe, niewielki karmel.

W smaku słodowe, nieco karmelu, kawa zbożowa. Mało nut typowo koźlakowych - melano. Kontra chmielowa znikoma.

Goryczka niska, wysycenie nieco za wysokie, ciała odrobinę za dużo.

Mało koźlaka w koźlaku. Smakuje bardziej jak schwarzbier.

Barwa zielona, niemal klarowne, piana biała, średnio obfita, średnio trwała.

W aromacie perfuma, nuty kwiatowe, prawdopodobnie marzanka.

W smaku kwaśność na poziomie średnim, lekka słodycz, sporo nut kwiatowych. Kontra chmielowa znikoma.

Goryczka niska, wysycenie w normie, ciało lekkie, piwo jest soczyste, bardzo pijalne.

Nieco przesadzili z perfumą, poza tym niezłe piwo.
