About
It all started with eight visionary men who founded the “Vereinsbrauerei Berliner Gastwirte zu Berlin AG” on February 1st, 1872 in Rixdorf. They established a modern brewery within one year, which was opened on July 19, 1873. The first public serving takes place on this day. In 1890 the brewery decides, as one of the first breweries in Germany, to brew a Pilsen beer. It is called - based on its southern German relatives - "Berliner Kindl". In 1910 the brewery is renamed "Berliner Kindl Brauerei AG". In 2006 Berliner Kindl returns to its former location in the east of Berlin. The entire range is now brewed in the Berliner Kindl Schultheiss brewery in Lichtenberg.

33 cl bottle. Clear pale golden colour with a thin white head. Tart fruity aroma with lemons, youghurt, wheat malts. Taste is sour. Light to medium body. Dry, tart fruity finish with lemons. Very unusual

Adding in my 300 Beers To Try ticks because I want to see how they impact my stats and some of them I will never see again. Will however re-rate them when practical. Ordered this previously with no idea what it was and I remember my mate stating, This has gone off! Got to reapraise it and it's fine.

Draught @ schnitzelei mitte, Berlin. Pours very pale yellow with a white head. Aroma malt, light grain, Bread, light hay-ish hops. Flavor is light sweet, very lightly bitter, malt, grain, hay. Thin to medium body, soft to average carbonation, light sweet finish. Not bad. 280720

Bottle @ Dresdener Strasse, Berlin. Pours clear light yellow with a white head. Aroma of malt, liggt grain, herbs, cardboard. Flavor is sweet, very lightly bitter, malt, grain, herbal hops. Thin to medium body, average to lively carbonation, light sweet finish. 270720

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Pours a clear golden colour with a medium sized fluffy white head. Aromas of grains, grass, hay, straw and hints of lemons. Taste is more grassy, a little metallic with an earthy bitterness on the finish. Light to medium bodied. Not bad

Bottle online from HB&B. Pours hazy pale yellow with a white head. Aroma: light tart apples, syrup. Taste: light sweet & bitter, tangy fruit, lemon rind, apple skins, light funk. Light to medium body, fine carbonation, short light tart finish. OK for the lowly ABV but a little one dimensional
