Keg at Andrew Usher’s. Black body with a huge tan head. Good lacing. Aroma of chocolate cake, orange and coffee. Flavour of orange, blackcurrant, bitter hops and charred wood. Dry finish. Medium body with a creamy texture. Light fizz. Bold and hoppy - I like.

Earl of Essex. Keg. Bright clear gold beer, thin white head. Palate is light and semi dry, fine minerally crispness. The pale malts are not that sweet and there is a brief touch of grain. Pretty reasonable orange peel hops and a touch of grapefruit. Crisp finish. Pretty drinkable.
