(Draft at Taplokaal Gist, Utrecht, 26 Feb 2026) Hazy brownish amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with oak wood, red berries and vinegar. Fruity, tart taste with notes of oak wood, vanilla, red berries, barnyard, vinegar, raspberries and blackberries. Hardly any bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Rich woody acidity with lots of tart fruit flavours. Very nice.

Fruity taste with banana, apricots, bread, herbs, coriander, citrus, honey and a mild herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Smooth and well balanced. Nice one.

Draft at festival vatgrrijpt. Color: Almost black, light brown head. Taste: Chocolate, some spicy rye. Subtle fruity Calvados. Creamy body. Some bitterness at the finish. Moderate sweet and over moderate bitterness. Dry finish. Nice barrel ageing.

Tap @ Taplokaal Gist, Utrecht. Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, tobacco and dried fruit. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. Soft. I don’t really pick up any Calvados, but it is rounder than the regular Dubbel, which I had in the same session. 160425
