Tap. Hazy straw-yellow with a white head. A: Hay, Meyer lemon, light spices incl juniper. Light bodied, slightly slippery. Crackery funk, citrus zest, a sour damp hay edge that merges with what are presumably the gin botanicals - there's juniper and probably coriander and more. Dry finish with moderate bitterness and hard spices. It's refreshing, although I didn't care for the way the juniper lingered. And why gin botanicals other than gin's having a moment?

Bottle from the Great Beer Bar, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Poured a hazy straw colour with a fizzy, short-lived white head. The aroma is malt, tropical citrus. The flavour is light sour, light sweet, with a fresh, crisp, yeasty, tart lemon citrus, dry hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Crisp and refreshing. Perfect for a hot climate.

Bottle. Black with a modest tan head. Aroma of bread, licorice, a little of the sea. Very smooth despite carbonation that's only slightly subdued. Rich and full bodied but not very sweet with coffee and mildly spiced bitterness. A little minerally at the end too. Bitterness is nit high but is insistent. The main way the oysters show is in a mind-clearing zinc hit. Very satisfying with a fine finish.

Bottle (ABV-Craft -- between the Taphouse and Uncle). Bright amber with a white head that fades to a rim and island fairly quickly. Oozy rather than raucous hop aroma, with sticky dope resin, kumquat, feijoa, peach, bread. Short of sticky, lowish carbonation. Bread and some toasty elements are rich but only moderately sweet. All the hop aromatics come through - again, they ooze. The finish is quite bitter but it grips gradually. Resinous and slightly spicy for a while after a sip. Lovely. Like a big cat stretching in the sun.

Bottle. Started at recommended 8°C, was only a little too cold. Piano black with a light tan head. 4 Aroma of roast, coffee, bread, dark berries, licorice, spices. Just medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Light bread, coffee, licorice. Moderately peppery and bitter finish. Dryish, far from rich. Refreshing, very English (like a stronger yet more austere Shep's).

500ml bottle muled home from the brewery. Pours lightly hazed golden orange with a white top. Aroma: light citrus, herbal, wood, funk. Taste: light to moderate lactic acidic, citrus notes of grapefruit, lemon, white grapes, also brett funk, hay. Light to medium body, soft carb, smooth spritzy mouthfeel, dry tart finish. A fine homage to the lambic style, nice complexity. Very enjoyable indeed
