Dark brown color. Tons of dark fruit and chocolate in the nose. Very malty and smooth. Amazingly smooth body, a bit of tartness. Tons of dark fruit smooth but doesn’t have amazing depth. Super malty and warming finish. Well made, but just doesn’t go to the next level

On tap at Mrs Parma, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out floral hops, some perfume and some astringent notes on the end. Flavour tastes like detergent, with lots of soapy, perfumey, floral hops. Dry finish with the soapy hops upfront. Doesn't seem as good as the ratings suggest. Meh.

On tap at Mrs Parma, pours s cloudy pinkish peachy colour with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh tart raspberries and lacto notes. Flavour is dirty, with filthy earthy notes, faint raspberries and lacto. Tastes like it was made with dirty water. Not a disaster, but it's not clean or harmonious. Needs work.

On tap at Beer DeLuxe Melbourne, pours jet black with a small creamy brown head. Aroma is complex as hell, with loads of complex whiskey notes, cocoa and roast - amazing aromatics. Flavour is supremely complex, with loads of dark fruits (raisins and prunes), complex whiskey barrels, a touch of cocoa, and light roast. The whiskey barrels are used to perfection, complementing the dark fruit quality wonderfully. One of the best Aussie beers out there. Phenomenal.

On tap at the Local Taphouse Sydney, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of tons of roasted malt and light cocoa. Flavour is intense, with high sweetness, roasted malt and cocoa. Almost a syrupy palate. Nice stuff, but not exactly elegant. Good one.

Bottle. Hazy brownish blond with a fading loose white head. 2+ Aroma of crackers, honey, orange peel, aniseed, coriander. 6. Light bodied. Moderate carbonation is a surprise because it opened with a loud pop. Sweet with honey and crackers, orange comes through nicely but the spices don’t have much punch. Low bitterness. A pleasant quaffer.
