and start writing the story of a microbrewery. In the year 2018, five men from the brewing world decided to combine their love of beer and years of experience and thus created an international brand - Axiom Brewery. Three owners from Russia, two from the Czech Republic. And now guess where did they build the brewery. Of course, at Haná in Prostějov (CZ).
And who is the sixth? He is a rebel. He is a superstar among brewers. He is a legend of craft beer. And he probably got bored in his vineyards in Greece because he joined us. Ladies and gentlemen, Norwegian brewmaster Kjetil Jikiun, founder of the first craft mini-brewery Nøgne Ø in Norway, which had grown so much that he left it and founded another mini-brewery called Solo in Crete, and now he brews beer in Prostějov.
We brewed our first batch at Axiom Brewery in mid-2019, and during our very first six months we immediately climbed to the top of the Ratebeer.com competition for the best new mini-brewery in the Czech Republic. And we had not descend from there even after 2020 and thus defended our ambitions.
We adore a wide range of beer styles, all kinds of flavors and fascinating aromas. We experiment and innovate with passion, with one goal in mind. To treat you with traditional and unusual taste experiences. So we brew, test, taste and taste and taste… and now we have already brewed dozens of different beer styles, including the mindblowing Session Mead style, which we brewed in the Czech Republic first and the public reaction was heartwarming.

Tap at PB Festival, thanks to the Axiom crew for this one. Clear golden pour, white head. Sweet and bitterish citric notes, light pine, low malty touch. Straightforward and easy to drink, also pretty tasty.

Tap at PB Festival, thanks to the Axiom crew for this one. Pours deep brown with off-white head. Nose is sweet malty, toasty, some raisins also appear. Taste is similar, sweet notes of toasted malts, light sweet chocolate, low fruity esters. Light, creamy body, soft carbonation. Tasty one.

Had this on tap at PB Festival, and from the can too, rating applies to the latter tasting. Copperish pour, white head. Nose is somewhat bitter, citrusy notes, low malty sweetness. In taste the additions (ie lemongrass and lime leaves) make an actual good addition to the base of the beer, making it pretty well rounded. Light body, average carbonation, quite refreshing. Good one.

Bottle at home, courtesy of Jose, thanks man! Pours black with no head. Nose is huge on booze, dark chocolate and roasted malts with a hint of smoke. As it warms the alcohol presence starts to become overwhelmingly offensive tho. Tastewise it’s sweet booze, molasses and chocolate with a hint of bitterness and first warming, then burning alcohol that lasts well into the finish. It has a medium to full body and soft carbonation and would drink well below the ABV, if it wasnt for the overwhelming alchohol. In fact, it’d be a pretty solid RIS, if it wasnt for the overwhelming alcohol, but it’s just too much both in the aroma and taste.

Bottle at home, cellared this for a year. Pours copper with an off-white head, showing some oxidization already. Nose is almost all gone, some malty sweetness, some bitterness to it too, but nothing pronounced really. Taste is warming booze, dried fruits and caramel. Sweet and boozy with some faint bitterness for counterbalance, but not much. Closes with a sweet boozy finish, has a medium body and soft carbo. I guess I did more harm with aging this one than I’d thought. Oh well.

Can shared at MONYO. Pours semi opaque orangeish golden with white head. Nose is sweet fruity, lactosey. Taste is light fruity sweetness, moderately bitter hops, mainly in the finish and a huuuge sweet kick. It'd be pretty nicely rounded and balanced if it werent for this amount of lactose, but it's just too much.

Can shared at work.

Tap at Salon Piva. Valoban hibrid, egy lagernel joval eszteresebb, de saisonhoz kepest meg van benne egy erdekes ropogos lageres vonal. Nem kene mukodnie, de valamiert megis.

Tap at Salon Piva. Semi clear golden pour with a white head. Nose and taste are citruses, honey, vague fruity notes and slight hint of caramel. Quite boozy and heavy, even though the body is dry.
