Bottle from Systembolaget, e-order in October 2015. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of ash, vanilla, vinegar and some hints of red wine. Similar taste. Sweetish and with a full body. The finish was long.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Dark black, brief beige head. Vinegary nose with vanilla and molasses. Sweet with full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Pepper and vinegar are evident, butterscotch and bourbon too. Very slight roasty component - instead almost chili-like heat from vinegar and alcohol dominate the finish. Actually not that bad - I suppose the vinegary component is the typical microflora that riddles other beers at South Plains, but here it is balanced by so much malt and bourbon. Flawed, but interesting. Don’t sit on your bottles...

Huge offwhite head. Clear coppery body with light carbonation. Funky floral fruity aroma with herbal notes. (Is this intentional?) Dry, and faintly acidic, wooden funky barnyard taste with floral resiny notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry resiny funky barnyard aftertaste with wooden floral notes. Intensely bretty, but it actually works, even though I very much doubt it’s intentional. Anyway, I’m rating the beer I tasted, not their intentions. (0.33l bottle, from Kihoskh, Copenhagen.)

Keg at soder om smaland, Malmo, RBESG ’15 day 2, 21/08/15. Murky amber with a well appointed light beige covering. Nose is pissy citrics, dank notes but in a stagnant kind of way, bitter orange. Taste comprises soapy notes, bitter orange, earthy, citric peel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not great.
