Dull looking and opaque. I mean all the beers in this series basically look like shit. Not much head. Light orange note. Soft body and lowish bitterness. The mandarina is nice, providing a mellow accent. Not bad, especially since this hop isn't as great in a solo IPA as you'd think. They did a good job pulling the best out of this idea.

Opaque, with a thin head. Soft body and low bitterness both interesting and slightly unexpected (the water here is certainly not soft). However, these elements and the fruity hop accent actually work. It's barely a pale ale the hops are so mild, but yet, it works.

Dull looking and opaque. Not much head. Aggressive harsh green hops on the nose. It's overpowering, and the only other thing that shows through is diacetyl. The body is thin, and yeah, butter. The thinness relative to the others in this series and the diacetyl tells me something happened during fermentation. But yet, it's still on tap.

Bright pale gold. Thin head. Lots of berry up front, but the palate is a bit clashy, with a fair bit of bitterness, raspberry and then some lemon. Crazy to think that having a legit pilsner as the base would end up being a problem, but yeah, that seems to be what happened here.

When I first had the Big DIPA, I didn't realize that they had a very tiny kit and brewed a ton of one-offs, or had beers where the name stayed the same but they changed up the recipe every time. So this wasn't listed as Big DIPA but it basically is, and this time, I've recorded what hops are in there so I don't screw this up again, because it is a bit different every time. I cost myself a couple of ticks there, I'm sure. Okay. Bright and brassy, nice old school look to it. Thin head. It's got a big piney aroma, malt chewiness and alcohol. A bit of diacetyl, some bitterness. The butter is low level but of course it gets in the way. People with low sensitivity to diacetyl (I'm about a 4 out of 5) probably won't notice it. Hop expression isn't as compelling as I'd like...h. blanc on this malt base isn't going to work well, really.

Bright amber-red. Medium head. Light caramel and low bitterness. So it's pretty sweet and one-dimensional. Not bad in that context but certainly not compelling for me.

Hazy, dullish tan. Medium bitterness. Some acidity, and fruity mosaic accents. Thin base malts, though. I think I've found that with their single hop IPAs, the base isn't really optimal for showcasing hop differences. I mean, it's not bad, but some clean sweet Gambrinus stuff (keep it local, right) without all the slurry would really make these beers pop.
