This one is sticky, has a nice hop note, leafy, it’s okay, just a bit too sweet, but I find that with the original as well.

Purple, bright, lots of berries, jammy, a bit butryic. On the sweet side…there’s a somewhat harsh acidity and it feels backsweetened. Which, really, is not something Jackknife would do. So it's an odd fermentation quirk.

Resting Witch Face is their beer for International Women's Day, a different recipe each year. This one's a black IPA. Dark brown. Lots of piney hops, toasty malts, light chocolate. Medium bitterness. Well-balanced. Maybe on the tastiness.

Bourbon. Dark brown and thin head. This is an attractive mess. Tart, bourbony. Strong, sweet. All good things, just not put together all that well. I feel like if you’re mood is glass half full or glass half empty is going to determine what you think of this one.

Hazy amber, lol smells a bit like pine sol. Tart, kveiky, piney, herbal. Lots of barrel. There’s a harshness to it - some herbs are leaving too much bitterness. Classic jackknife where they’re having a blast, you’re having a blast and it’s not actually that good.

Medium brown, spicy, lots of ginger and molasses. On the sweeter side but decently light. Hard to figure an IPA base on this, but it's Jackknife, not going to argue that point.

Dark gold, low carbo, lots of bitterness. Odd character…spruce tips, myrtle and sahti yeast? Who the fuck knows. There’s a lot of sweetnesss here that I don’t understand.

On tap at Jackknife. Pours a clear blonde with a white head. Nose is a blend of barrels with a slightly floral tone. Flavour has floral and piney hops, some white wine character, a bit woody. Nice, this comes together well.

On tap at Jackknife. Pours a slightly hazy dull gold with minimal head. Light botanicals and old floral hops on the nose. Flavour has light gin botanicals, floral, slightly piney hops, malts are pretty flat. Almost no carbonation. Not bad.
