473 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with full tan head. Aromas of nutty brownies, coffee and roasted barley. Flavors stale coffee, cola, a bit of chocolate and roasted barley. Thin for a modern Baltic Porter.

Can from High Point, Vancouver, 25/03/24, ~1 month old apparently
That's a darker amber than the average Bock in the region, inspiring; clear; large, compact head. Mild aroma of caramel, and rotting fruit (or day old unwashed beer bottles). There's some serious malt here, biscuity, toasty, caramelly; moderate residual sweetness, the body strength is appropriate for the style; bold bitterness, balancing the malts, maybe some grassy touch too; the acidity seems a bit high, though.
I appreciate the effort. I'm quite enjoying this one.

Can from High Point, Vancouver
Dark blond colour, bright suuny fields, clean. Some smell of packaging, paper. Dry, highly carbonated, smooth; I'm not sold on the malt base, that has some toasted bread, and the hopping has some vegetable character, nothing close to a West Coast anything. Meh.

16oz @ home shared with Alex (thx for the beer!). Appearance: almost clear golden with a white head. Aroma: some candies, a bit grassy and sweet. Taste: along the same lines, noticeably bitter. Overall: ok.

On tap at Beva, pours a clear dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out toasted caramel, bready malt, and some sugary notes. Flavour is rather sweet for the style, with bready malt, toasted caramel, and sugars. Reasonably structured and clean but a touch too sweet. Decent.

Dull blonde and hazy. Medium head. Aroma is phenols, strawberry and pineapple juice. On the palate, it's a bit yeasty, quite dull, again a vaguely phenolic impression. I get the coriander, at least a little bit, but nothing is really coming together particularly well here. There's nothing all that wrong with it, but it's a rare day when I crave a pineapple white IPA.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver; fresh batch, 6.8% ABV
Pale blond colour, clean. Piney aroma, slightly floral. It's dry and crisp, I like the malt base, hay, crackers; then comes the powerful hopping, piney, with strong bitterness; clean.
Good.

Can from Canada Craft Club, January 2024. Dark mahogany under a large frothy dark brown cap that fades quickly to a sheet and leaves minimal lace. Nose is dark chocolate, molasses, coffee and roasted grains. Light+ molasses sweetness with a medium chocolate and coffee bitterness. Mouth is medium- and slick with soft carbonation and a lightly bitter finish. 7/3+/7/3/14
