Very light pale straw body and foam gone too fast. Soft berry aroma, a little spicy, vanilla maybe. Taste is a bold and tart gooseberry, full frontal with lingering sugar in a good way, okay carbonation. At least you can taste it, which is more I can say for most gooseberry beers.

Weak hazy gold body and minimal foam. Kind of a musty strawberry and lemon aroma, rather detergenty. Taste is tart syrawberry, some lemon, finishing sour and lingering fresh lemon juice. I don't think the elements are jiving well here, it all feels haphazard.

Nice medium brown body and pretty good foam. Excellent molasses and toffee on the nose, hitting it right on the mark. Taste is plum and malt, ending with a dry biscuity finish with balanced sweetness. Probably the best beer ever made by this brewer.

Clear light gold body and very modest foam. Not bad pine and lemon zest on the nose, vague chewy malt. Taste is piney hops and soft lemon, ending too watery. Kind of okay, oat character invisible, there's big room for improvement.

Clear medium gold body and modest foam. Very faint grain sweetness on the nose, nothing there really. Taste is plenty of hop sweetnees, sugary grain, ends mostly smooth. Lacking complexity and finesse, I mean it hits every note out of twelve. If it was in the orchestra it would be ejected.

Medium brown body and kind of okay light beige foam. Nice sweet biscuit aroma, reminds me of those old school macro dark beers from the dépanneur. Taste is more sweet biscuit, sugary coffee, ends smooth with lingering cocoa. Not bad at all, a crowd pleasing schwarzbier if nothing else.

Medium clear gold body and very modest foam. Good sweet peach on the nose, nice fruitiness. Taste is sweet peach, alcohol well hidden, ends a little wet surprisingly. Still some good things going on here and 5 roads is slowly (oh so very slowly) finding their footing.

Very light clear copper body and modest foam. Faint biscuit aroma, clean but too weak. Taste is light biscuit, sweet cracker, ends smooth with vague crispness. Kind of okay, but also kind of not.

Poured from the tap. Hazy dull orangey brown with small white head. Mild citrus hops, a bit watery, lacking much flavour.

On tap at Barley Merchants. Juicy nose. Minimal malt. Not complex but I like what it is.
