Clear blond to orange beer, creamy off-white to yellow head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, sugary, yeast, bit chemical, band-aid, fruity. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, malty, some honey, fruity touch, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: hoppy, bit resinous, chemical bitterness, some citrus, pineapple.

Birght orange color, huge cloudy white head, some lace. Citrus and mango in the nose. Medium-bodied. Fruity, yeasty flavor. Some citrus, pine needles and mango. Yeastyness is disturbing a bit.

Pours a hazy orangey golden color, topped with a decently sized but quickly settling soapy white head. Aroma mildly fruity with a bit more prominent pine notes, but mild alltogether. Taste is decently bitter throughout with some very gentle pine and herbal notes which are also felt in the aftertaste. Drinkable with decent hoppy bitterness. Straightforward.

Bottle. Golden color. Aroma has grain and yeast. Taste is a bit flat, with a little buttery caramel, grass, peach hop and grain. Needs more hops, it’s more like a bitter now.

Bottle from The Bulldog. Hazy golden body with a thin off-white head. Low carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma of flowery hops, orange and yeast. Flavour of orange, fruity hops and a bitter finish. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A solid IPA.

IPA from Amsterdam with dense and moussy, egg-white, irregular, lacing, stable head and misty orange blonde colour with slightly pinkish hue. Aroma showcases the hops, but in a less exuberant way than many American IPAs; I get impressions of marmelade, lime peel, lemon butter sauce, limoncello even, cherimoya, canned apricot, acacia honey, some bitter weeds, biscuit, strawberry, white grape, tonic water, fresh-squeezed orange juice - this is a distinctive aroma, unlike any other IPA I ever had, and in fact quite pleasant. Taste begins with a kick of mango, papaja, peach and a hint of raw vegetables (celery), with that typical salty hop touch announcing more hoppiness to come, but fortunately not becoming too briny; spicy yeastiness and a soft caramelly malt sweetishness follow, but the hops are unable to restrain themselves any longer and evolve into a resinous, drying, juicy, spicy, lightly citrussy bitterness lasting for a long time, yet staying sufficiently in place to let some of the meaty maltiness creep through. In all: pleasantly surprised, this is a great aromatic and refreshing Euro IPA, in fact one of the best outside of the U.S. I had so far... Distinguishes itself by the buttery, caramelly aspect in the aroma, which pairs beautifully with the bittering, spicy hops, with a kind of lemon butter effect as a result. Kudos to De Prael!
