On tap at McGillicuddy’s, Five Corners, Essex Junction, VT.
This was poured into a pint glass. I get what’s going on.
The appearance was a ruddy brown color with a bar pour’s kind of thin white head that dissipated fairly quickly. Stringy spider web lacing.
The aroma had some sweet to roasty bready malts flowing over some nutty sweet and roastiness.
The flavor has the sweet and roasty nuts up front with the bready sweetness, more so underneath. Sly bready sweet aftertaste sliding into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a great sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. Nice transition from tastebuds to tongue, feels good.
Overall, as a Munich dunkel lager, great job and worthy of having again.

Clear dark brown body with an off white head. Smoky, bacony aroma. The flavor is, as are all of their beers, well balanced with no component being dominant with perhaps the exception to a smoky flavor which is dominant of it’s own nature. Very nicely done rauchbier.

Clear dark brown with an off-white head. The aroma has a bit of chocolate, roast malt and subtle hops. The flavor is well balanced, with a bit of roasty sweetness. Earthy light hops present for balance but in no way being the showcase. True to style, being sessionable, yet with a bit more flavor than a Pils or Helles.

Pours clear dark brown, a bit darker than their Dunkel. Soft subtle roast malt aroma. The flavor is well balanced, with no component jumping to the front with any big overpowering presence. Nicely done.

The pour is a hazy yellow with a white head. The aroma is a subtle spice and a touch of banana. The flavor is soft and well balanced, Light sweet malt, banana and spice flavor. I prefer a hefe with a bit more phenols and esters, as well as a bit more body, but this beer certainly isn’t out of the style range or in any way a flawed beer.

Yellow pour with a white head. Light soft hop and malt aroma. The flavor is also light and well balanced, typical of a good German style Pils. Enough hops to add spice to the malt. Subtle and easy drinking.

Hazy yellow with a small white head. My sample was filled to the rim so there wasn’t much room to display a head. The aroma was lemony, a bit of malt sweetness. The flavor is fruity, perhaps not as sweet as many Radlers, so less of a soda pop than an actual beer. Not my favorite style, but this beer will have fans I’m sure.
