De initiatiefnemers achter deze brouwerij zijn Daniëlle Duits uit Tienhoven en Marco Lauret uit Vleuten. Brouwerij Duits & Lauret is opgericht in 2009 en sinds 2015 gevestigd in Fort Everdingen in de buurt van Utrecht. Fort Everdingen is de imposante, stoere thuishaven van brouwerij Duits & Lauret. De brouwers serveren hier hun bier aan bezoekers en bieden daarnaast een kleine menukaart aan. In hetzelfde jaar werd de naam van de brouwerij gewijzigd van Speciaalbierbrouwerij Duits & Lauret in Fortbrouwerij Duits & Lauret.

Golden color with white head. Fruity, spicy, grainy, bready. Feels heavy. Not too balanced. Quite nice though, just a bit too strong for me. At least it’s not really sweet.

33cl bottle @home. Pours black in color with a dense brown head. Coffee, roasted malt, some chocolate in aroma. Flavor has dark chocolate, hops, roasted malt and ashes. Dry ashy finish. Gets sweeter as it warms up. Paired nicely with chocolate cake.

Bottled. Coppery black colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is metalllic, earthy and some mild ripe fruits. Flavour is metallic, some alcohol, ripe fruits and mild leathery notes.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Clear dark reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and smoked meat. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 190615

33 cl bottle @ Sankt Hans Tasting, Ulfborg.
Aroma has toffee, nuts, some smoky(!) tones and licorice. Flavour has smoke, fresh leather shoes and some licorice. Quite nice, reminds me of Emelisse smoked porter. The sweetness becomes a bit disturbing at the end of the glass though.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are caramel, smoke, fruits, little chocolate and hops.

Tap at WVHNB. Slight hazy golden with fluffy white head. Light sweet malt with dried apple, herbs and some biscuits. Taste is light to medium sweet with light to medium bitter finish. Medium bodied. Nothing too outspoken but decent beer.

On tap at belmont station. Pours a dark black color with a medium brown head. A big sweet fruity malty nose. Dark roast, banana esters, roast, licorice. Very good. Fluffy palate.
