Almost black colour, beige head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, burned malts, chicory. Lots of flavour for the ABV. Coffee with chicory tones, malts, burned malts. Bit creamy texture. Quite some burned malts bitterness. Finish rather dry and bitter. Nice one.

Bottled at ChrisO’s pre-GBBF shindig. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and wood. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt as well as lighter notes of smoke, leading to a dry finish.

Draught@Cafe Belgique, Utrecht. Dark russet looks with a middling beige head. Nose was malt driven with some roasted coffee notes. Similar yarn in the taste which was sweetish and revealed some dark fruits and chocolate also. Dryish finish. Straightforward and tasty stout.
