Bottled. Hazy golden, coarse head. Rubbery grapefruit aroma. Mid sweet with light-medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Apples, rubber, spicy hay and resin. Sharp bitter finish.

Bottled. Hazy nut Brown, mildly gushing with cooarse lively head. Caramelly with a layer of grapefruit and pear. Fruity with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Lots of caramel, rich hops. Marked bitter finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Red Lion, Cricklade 27/8/2013. Amber with a slight, off-white head. Sweetish, orange and biscuity malts with some leafy hops and moderately bitter finish. Fine.

bottle from Oddins London Bridge. Black beer lasting beige head. Malty aroma, but not particularly smokey. Eeek, like all the other Fallen beers I had this is still not a very good beer. Flavours are all over the place, there is some leather sofa flavour that is strange, the smokiness is limited and vague cheap smoked bacon. It’s not a pleasant beer to drink and like the other Fallen beers, I didn’t want to finish it.

33cl bottle from Oddbins London Bridge. Well it’s a clear amber colour with a thick off white head. Bit of rubber on aroma and flavour. Some ok malt, but not a very good beer to be honest, that rubber is not great.

33cl bottle from Oddbins London Bridge. Clear gold beer with lasting white head. Touch of toffee butter on aroma. It’s a toffeeish blond beer. Good mouthfeel, some carbonation on finish, bit too buttery for me. Some hop sting on finish.

Keg at The Southern. Pours golden brown with a decent white head. Aromas has something distinctly cheesey going on, acidic anyway. Weird. Tastes a bit unusual, but fits the parameters for beer. Forgettable ending.

Bottle at home in London - snagged at Royal Mile Whiskies, London. Pours clear, red-brown with a moderate, creamy beige head. Nose offers up some quality smoked malts, hints of ripened berries, some dirt and burnt meat. Light to medium sweet flavor with mild char, good smoke, some smoked ham, berries, a bit of burnt caramel and brown sugar, low bitterness. Light bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Very light dryness to finish with fairly strong but very balanced smokey malts, burnt ham, toasted brown sugar and caramel, dried fruits, mellow earthy bitterness. I’m pretty impressed by this one. Good depth for the ABV and very decent balance overall.
