Description
Initially launched in early 2020 as a gypsy brewery, they opened their own brewery in Autumn 2020.
Newbarns is a brand-new brewery, but the team behind it certainly know what they’re doing. McKenzie, his partner Emma McIntosh, Jonny Hamilton and Fred Bjerkseth have an impressive array of experience between them from the likes of The Kernel, Siren and Beavertown breweries

Can from Cork & Cask. Clear golden body with a light haze and white head that holds well. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange peel and pine. Flavour of peppermint and melon. Medium body with an oily texture. Light fizz. It’s not a hop combination I would have thought complemented each other but it comes together nicely here.

Can at home in Hackney - ordered from the brewery. Pours totally clear gold with a fluffy, white head. Balanced sweetness, nice biscuity malts, subtle bitter hay, a little doughy bread. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Clean finish, more bready biscuits, relaxed bitterness, nips of cereal, straw. Super drinkable.
