Weathered Ground Brewery
Microbrewery

West Virginia,
United States 🇺🇸
Associated Venue: Weathered Ground Brewery
Established in 2017
While trying to come up with a name for the brewery, we started to think about our journey… the places we’ve lived, our dearest friends, the ups and downs we’ve endured and how those moments have shaped us, and how we wanted those experiences to influence the brewery and our work there. We thought about future nights with new friends at the brewery and working days in the garden.
Along with brewing and serving craft beer, we want to use this land to create memories for everyone. In a sense, we feel that our lives are weathered, shaped, and molded by experiences, as well as our relationships.
We feel this property too is weathered by the people and nature that passes by. Weathered Ground Brewery was born from these ideas. While we will brew many styles of beer, our general theme will be Farmhouse style beers.
Many of these Farmhouse Ales will incorporate local agriculture into the beer whether it grows here naturally, in our garden, or on another local farm. We enjoy brewing and drinking these libations, and we cannot wait to share that passion with southern West Virginia.

16oz can from Tanner (rennat42), my first every beer from West Virginia. Poured into an old Corsendonk stemmed tulip glass at my daughters place in Laguna Hills on 25th January 2022. Cloudy, hazed dull yellow body, white head that thinned fairly quickly. Citrussy nose and taste, a delicious melon like flavour mentioned on the can, well there might be a trace of melon in there, but they definitely put the idea in my head. Being in California at the moment means I am getting some seriously hoppy IPA's, this is a different animal all together, the hops in here are mellow, and far from aggressive compared to the local brews in Southern Cal. Actually I liked it's subtlety and smoothness.
