Description
Mlinarica is known for its homely atmosphere. Tables and benches made of solid wood fill the interior of the space, and in the glass part of the pub there is a large fireplace. Every day we offer many homemade dishes, snacks, grilled dishes and homemade desserts, on weekends different baking.

In 2016, next to the brewery, we open a craft brewery and join the Zagreb beer revolution, offering guests top craft beers of different flavors and aromas.

Tap at Prague Beer Fest. Salmon-beige murky body, beige head. Acetic layer on pleasant grape. Similar taste, sour, acetic, smooth, lovely white grape touch underneath, bit astringent but I might have the yeast shot. Good stuff!

Tap at the Prague Beer Fest. Blackish body, some traces of a tan head. Bourbon barrel and some vanilla, plenty of cocoa in the aroma. But the taste... Warmth is there, sure, but so is a beautiful hazelnut layer, cocoa, tonka, vanilla... Impressive, really impressive! It's brutally expensive, but... It might just sell!

Tap at Prague Beer Fest. Surprisingly smooth. Nutty, toasted, rather dry, but light toffeeish sweetness. Tasty, no bullshit, works. ABV totally hidden. Could use more richness, otherwise great.

Tap at Prague Beer Fest. Full bod, light carbo. High sweet, high bitter. Shitloads of chocolate, cocoa, tonka. Light vanilla. Decadent, just great. Only light warmth, dangerous.

Med-thin bod, med-light carbo, sufficient. Med sour, light acetic too, light tartness, light sweetness too. Med funk, nice rounded horsey character, and subtle winey presence. Good mix, nice.

Tap at Prague Beer Fest. A pretty standard, heavily flavored sour. Does the job.

Bottle, 0.5l. Clear golden pour, two finger soapy white head, short lasting, minimal lacing on the glass. Grainy and grassy notes on the nose, bready, light spice.

Light to medium body, medium carbonation, soft. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, slightly fizzy, refreshing, easily drinkable. Nicely balanced bittersweet taste. Clean and crisp. Aroma of malt, grass, grains. Herbal notes, light spice, bready. Citrus notes in the background, nice hoppy aftertaste. Medium lasting finish, slightly dry, mild lingering hop bitterness.

Pretty good lager.

0.33 l bottle from Gogo's Beerdello, Zagreb. Shared with little Dina and prof. Prezbelewsky. Black, oily, small beige head. Aroma is chocolate, cocoa, nutty, roasty, dried fruit, dates, hint of peanut butter, hint of raisins and red fruit. After awhile a touch of licorice, leather and oak. Flavour is smooth milk chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, nougat, caramel, dates and toffee. Sweet, smooth, sticky, full body, alcohol hidden. Very smooth, slick, thick, sweet finish.

Bottle at Beerdello, enormous thanks Karlo for sharing with Jablanko and me! Pitch blackish body, no head. Coconut, cakey notes, cocoa, some herbal notes in the aroma. A surprising, strong milk chocolate aroma shows up in the taste, the barrel giving a solid dose of vanilla, the coconut not overwhelming things, slightly grainy maltiness, not in a bad way. Smooth, harmonious, low warmth for the ABV... dare I say this is Mlinarica's best beer? Potentially the best Croatian beer of 2025? Yes!!! Fantastic!
