9/III/2012 on tap @ De Heeren van Liedekercke (Denderleeuw) - BB: n/a (2012-223)

Mainly clear light blond beer, huge white head, somewhat adhesive. Aroma: fruity, yeast, some vegetables, hay, grassy. On swivelling the beer around a weird chemical rubbery or plastic smell comes out. MF: soft to no carbon, light body. Taste: faint fruits, some citrus, grains, sugary, in all pretty watery. Aftertaste: more grains, grassy, watery too. Lacks some punch.

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty and light caramelish. Toasted malty and caramelish, light breadish. Distinctly more dunkel bock than Belgian ale. Smooth caramelish and yet light bitter finish.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy opaque amber with a frothy off-white head. Sweet caramellish nose. Solid body, quite some toffee and oxidized fruits. A twist of sweet licorice. But absolutely no hops. Almost Bock-like. 290212

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of dusty hops, malt, bread, and yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of bread, lots of fruits - some of them dried, caramel, and nuts, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Draught @ Gastrpub Tuulensuu as "De Vlier Kerstbier"
Aroma is somewhat stale and malty with butter toffee. Also hints of metal. Flavour is rather sweet, somewhat stale and slightly spicy with butter toffee and herbs. Malty and sticky finish, foamy and creamy palate. Typical belgian x-mas ale.
