Bottle, 75cl corked. A finger-thick, off-white head sits on top of a more or less clear, golden body. The aroma is malty and light buttery with a fruity touch. The flavor too is buttery, with fruityness and some bitterness. A touch of something spiced too, licorice or fennel maybe. Medium to full body, quite dry. A decent beer, nothing more, the butterscotch makes too much damage. 110820

Short-lived attempt at white head over beer, looking for all the world as cider. End of bottle solid yeast. Sourish nose, cidery (yes!), even flowervinegar, faintly fruity. Sweet-sour, again like medium dry cider, applevinegar with sugar, and a typical flowery-fruity flavour, no doubt the elderflowersyrup. Slick, but a bit empty MF. Very un-beery. As said already, like demi-sec cider from the supermarket. I would have been all the more impressed if this result would have been reached with half the alcoholcontent... Neeryssche Dobbel-wit, anybody?

Huge, dense & fine yellowish head over metallic-golden beer. Rather dry, but flowery nose, bit grassy & gassy; very fresh malts, inviting. Dry-ish, but with a sweetish pale malts touch, all the same. Fresh raw vegetable, cucumber - greenmalt? Touch of hot corn. Medium bodied, spritzy. More a stronger blonde than a tripel, but quite drinkable.

Bouteille 33cl.
