Description

Želimo svim pivoljupcima objasniti magiju nastajanja piva, važnost kvalitete sastojaka i približiti bezbrojne kombinacije okusa i aroma.

Bottle, 330 ml in Zagreb. Pours golden with white head. Sweetish, fruity, tropical fruit. Moderate bitterness. Seemed bit restrained, probably due to the fact most drinkers in Croatia are not used to the really bitter brews. This rate was for the early version from June ’15, from what I know recipe was upgraded so re-rate will be necessary.

Clear, golden colored, medium to strong white frothy and long lasting head, nice lacing. Aroma is of some caramel malt and a hop explosion of citrus, grapefruit and tropical notes. Taste is medium sweet caramalt backbone, medium+ hoppy citrus, grapefruit and tropical fruity aroma and moderate bitterness, dryish finish, lasting aftertaste. Medium bodied, soft+ carbonation, oily-resiny. Latest version (LOT 063) and the best one by far.

Bottle thanks to Santa Gurthnar. Clear light golden with fluffy white head. Lots of citrus hops up front: grapefruit, lime peel, marmalade, some lychee, bitter grassy notes and some more German style hops. There’s barely any malts underneath, just light dry biscuits. Slight bitter chicory in the finish. Over medium bitter and light sweetness. Medium bodied. Quite a nice IPA.

Pours a very dark ruby, almost black colour with a small brown head. Smells is mostly of coffee and chocolate. Taste is an excellent mix of fruits, roasted malts and coffee beans. There’s also a very strong presence of alcohol, mostly in the finish. Finish itself is quite bitter with a hint of chocolate. This is a damn good porter. Quality just shines in every aspect - just like with the pale ale, I’d recommend this to anyone, anytime. Pure class.

Excellent example of pale ale. Looks absolutely beautiful - pours a dark orange color with a small white head that disappears quickly. Smell is mostly grapefruit. Aroma is carried by a strong presence of citrus with a hint of elderflower. As most beers of this style, this one is quite bitter and that works in favour of bringing out those refreshing citrus flavours. Pretty high carbonation level is leading to an explosive, bitter finish. Overall, an excellent beer. Would recommend this to anyone, anytime. Unfortunately, it’s a bit hard to find, but! If you manage to do so - don’t even think about it - just grab it. Awesome! ==== Quality dropped lately from excellent to mediocre. Adjusting the score accordingly.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at tiong’s tasting, thanks VastActiv, 20160109) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had burnt malts and coffee. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, ash, coffee and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A nice porter despite the strong burntness.

Fein karbonisierter Beginn mit etwas verwässertem Malz. Kaum röstig, ziemlich trocken. Mittelstarke Herbe, zum Ende stärker röstig. Okay. 10/8/9/8/10/9
