Description
Brash was founded in 2012 by Ben Fullelove, but laws at the time kept him from brewing within city limits. The Brash Brewing Company came to life when he finally decided to move to Ipswich, Massachusetts. The outdated legislation that prevented brewery owners from operating a bar were overturned the next year and in October of 2015, Brash Brewing Company opened its doors.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento. Pours translucent orange gold with an off-white to beige head. Noses seems resin and fruit. Med + body. Flavor is resin, light stone fruit, citrus and some pretty sweet toffee backbone. There’s lots of hop here. Mild hop irritation - not exactly a burn. But it’s building up. Pretty balanced - sweet malt, but lots of hop. Must have been expensive to make. Good stuff.

22 oz. bottle, sent from Neillago (thanks a lot, Neil), pours a cloudy opaque orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out oranges, some moderate tropical fruits (pineapple and mango), resinous hops and caramel malts. Flavour brings out loads of tropical fruits, along bitter grapefruit, citrus zest, resinous hops and some residual sugars. Quite bitter and astringent, but also fairly sweet from the residual sugars. A little too sweet for my taste, but it's fairly well-rounded. Good stuff, but the sugars are a bit too prominent.

Bottle thanks to a trade! Pours near black with a brown head that dissiaptes quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet chocolate with a hint of bitterness and strong backing roasted malts. Flavor is also full of chocolate with strong roasted malts and a hint of dark grains.

22 oz. bottle, sent from mista (thanks Geoff), pours a hazy opaque orange with a small white head. Aroma of big resinous hops, some floral notes, oranges and caramel malt. Flavour is big and bold, both extremely hoppy and malty, with big resinous hops, a little orange rind, caramel malt and residual sugars. It starts big and resinous, transitioning to the heavy malty and sugary backbone. Finishes sweet and quite astringent. Decent balance, but still too much residual sugar for my tastes. Too sweet, but still decent in smaller quantities.
