Really nice - aromas of hops and white (sweet) bread, tastes similar with a bit of nuts indeed and a nice bitter aftertaste.

Crowler from Dogtap. It pours deep mahogany brown with a lively light tan head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, toasted malt, toffee, caramel, loads of dried fruits, sultana, raisin, dried fig, dried sour cherry, brown bread, fruit cake and toasty brown sugar. The taste is slick, roasty, toasted oak, bitter - sweet, earthy, nutty, l praline, oads of dried fruits, sultana, raisin, toasty brown sugar, sticky fruit cake, toffee, creme caramel, spicy, cacao nibs, riesen and some boozy warmth with a dry, oaky finish. Fulsome body and moderate, velvety carbonation. Fun barley wine. Enjoyable.

On keg at BrewDog Leicester. Light to mid-gokd and hazy with almost no head. Nose is sweet with canned pineapple, vanilla and a little bit of nutmeg. It's not that sour on the taste with sweet spice floating above the tropical fruit flavours. Still it's got a nice balance. Long complex finish with the dustings of cinnamon adding to the aftertaste. Maybe that tiny bit artificial but still very good.

Keg at Brewdog Doghouse Edinburgh. Pours clear dark brown with a thin off-white head. Aromas of chocolate, weirdly. Some boozy almond and fruitcake. Fruit leather. Taste is a little hot. Nutty, fruitcake again. Quite dry at the back.
