Bottle from the brewery. Pours reddish gold with medium sized white head and excellent lacing. Mild aroma of hops, honey and crayons. Nice hop profile with a sweet, citrusy background.

12oz bottle-pours a thin light tan head and amber color. Aroma is sweet citrus hops, medium malt-caramel. Taste is sweet citrus hops, medium malt-caramel, some sulfur and other off characters [some tannins and a bit over-boiled?] mild carbonation.

12oz bottle-pours a rich brown head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-licorice/anise/chocolate, some acidic. Taste is dark malt-licorice/anise/chocolate/coffee, some acidic hops. Full body. OK carbonation. Nicely done, not my style.

12oz bottle-pours a dissipating tan head and dark brown color. Aroma is dark malt-chocolate. Taste is roasty, dark malt-chocolate, some bitter/metallic hops bite. Medium body. OK carbonation.

12oz bottle-pours a foamy tan head and hazy orange/brown color. Aroma is citrus/pine hops balanced with medium malt-caramel. Taste is bitter, citrus/pine hops, balanced with medium malt-somewhat sugar/burnt caramel. OK carbonation. Nice. Finishes bitter with some tannins. Cross with ASA.

22oz bottle-pours a rich tan head and mahogany color. Great head retention for alcohol. Aroma is dark fruit, medium malt-sweet. Taste is dark fruit, medium malt-sweet/some chocolate, secondary earthy hops. Medium body. Some DB character. Good effervescence. Sipping.

22oz bottle-pours a rich creamy light tan head an black color. Aroma is soft sugary. Taste is burnt cane sugar, dark malt which finishes quickly, acidic/earthy. Finish is acidic with some coffee and dustiness. Not my style although interesting. Nicer at cellar temperature.

22oz bottle-pours a rich, rocky tan head that laces and hazy copper/red color. Aroma is rich sweet medium/dark malt-molasses/sugar, dark fruit-cherries, prunes, secondary resin hops. Taste is velvety rich sweet medium/dark malt-molasses/sugar/chocolate, dark fruit-cherries, prunes, secondary resin hops-bitter, some alcohol. Smooth, mild/OK carbonation. Seems to have aged nicely in just 6 months from other comments.

22oz bottle-pours a tan head and copper/red color. Aroma is sweet caramel and pine hops. Taste is syrupy sweet-dark/medium malt-caramel/brown sugar and pine/citrus hops, bitter, alcohol. Very good ASA (close to City Steam Ecstasy IPA). Good carbonation.
