Bottle to snifter.
Appearance: black in the pour and black in the glass with a one finger khaki foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace.
Aroma: deep roasted malts, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, black coffee, smoke, ash, dark fruits and black licorice
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a nice roasty, toasty and sweet character; finishes semi-dry, roasty and dark fruity
Texture: medium bodied, great sipper; light smoothness with some dryness
Overall: I say a nicely done RIS worthy of returning to.

Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a two and a half fingers of eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely and left some light lace
Aroma: sweet cocoa nibs, smooth sweet oats, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, roastiness, black coffee and an earthy spice
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a roasty sweet quality, finishes roasty and sweet
Texture: light to medium bodied, some sessionability, very smooth along the tongue
Overall: a very nicely done oatmeal stout I would return to.

Appearance: orange/copper color with a one and a half fingers of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: muted grapefruit, floral hops & piney hops; caramel/toffee malts
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas in an old school sort of bittersweet way; finishes floral and grapefruity
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper; hop aggression is quite noticeable on the tongue, exceptionally light smoothness (really hard to find, to be honest)
Overall: I don't mind this for me but the kids these days won't like this.

Aroma: briney to salty with a black coffee roastiness and cacao nibs and subtle mineral water-like tones
Flavor: roasty, sweet and salty through the prior noted aromas; finishes dry, semi-salty and slighly with the cacao nibs
Texture: medium bodied, great sipper, some smoothness but also a lot of dryness
Overall: good imperial oyster stout. Thanks Jason!

Can from CBC Liquors, Westford. Opaque dark brown with quickly dissipating thin cap of head, light sparkle and viscosity, no lacing. Aroma is strong sweet malts, brown bread, light dark fruit and mild bourbon. Taste is strong molasses, sweet malt, bourbon. Smooth, silky texture, medium bodied, soft carbonation, finish as taste, hint of alcohol.

12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a crystal clear bronze color with a small beige head and fair retention. Practically no lacing. Light caramel malt aroma. Smooth and clean caramel malt flavor to match the nose. Easy drinking and very repeatable. Medium body. Above average, lively carbonation. Not bitter. Good beer.
