12 oz bottle from Halftime. Black, thin, flat, light carbonation. Aroma is coffee with a hint of chocolate. Tadte is roast malts and coffee, some faint sweet lacto. More coffee bitterness at the finish.

Pours black with a very thin creme head. Aroma of coffee. Taste is dominated by malt with coffee undertones. Palate has coffee and a light cream note on the tongue. Not bad at all.

Bottle from The Food Emporium, 3rd Avenue, New York. Pours hazy dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of bitter hops, citrus fruit, toffee, dough, dates and molasses. Moderate sweetness and heavy bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Finish is bitter, with caramel and chocolate.
