Description
By the way, did you know that Normandy is the French region with the most beer drinkers? This is why we created the Brasserie de la Vire, based in Condé-sur-Vire, in order to offer high fermentation beers of excellence, to the taste of our land, which celebrate the great epics of the Normans!

First of all, all our beers are made from Norman malted barley, and moreover from organic farming, in order to fully restore all the characteristics of our terroir. Then, we developed our recipes in collaboration with Christophe, a Norman artisan brewer recognized for 20 years! Passionate about beers, Christophe has developed unique recipes with characters that match the great epics they carry.

It is these unique beers that we bottle in Condé-sur-Vire!

My bottle shows 5.5% ABV. Huge thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass with a nice head. Malty-spicy aroma. Starts mild, fine malty, shy sourish. Notes of some herbs, some spices. Some wood. Finish well balanced. Quite interesting!

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy orange-brown amber, off-white head. Aroma: Malty, caramel notes. Taste: Malty, caramel notes, dark malt, lightly sugary, yeasty and citrus hints, nice hoppy background. Over moderate sweet, moderate bitterness with a bit more hop at the finish. Ok.

0.75l bottle from E.Leclerc Saint-Valery-en-Caux. Slightly hazy strawy yellow with a tall foamy head. Aroma of old fruit. Medium bodied, pleasantly malty with more fruit and a wild yeasty touch. Herbal-resiny hops in the finish. Lively carbonation.
