Nach dem recht feinem Pale Ale kommt das IPA. Dieses ist zwar auch recht fein, aber irgendwie ist es recht brav. Der Aromenreichtum ist voll da und eigentlich gibt es auch nicht zu bemängeln. Für mich als Freund von milden, leicht hopfigen Bieren ist das Bier voll ok, aber ich weiß dass viele Leute ein IPA bitterer haben wollen. Nichtsdestotrotz eine Empfehlung meinerseits.

Die kleine Brauerei aus Stupava hat 2018 in der Altstadt von Bratislava eine eigene kleine Crafbier-Bar mit integrierter Galerie eröffnet. Dort kann man die gerade lagernden Biere vom Fass trinken. Ich habe mit dem klassischen Hellen begonnen. Dieses ist nach tschechischen Vorbild gebraut und könnte von einer dortigen Wirtshausbrauerei stammen, so süffig ist es. Aber es ist weitaus besser abgeschmeckt und wunderbar komponiert. So kommen zu den Hopfenaromen auch allerlei frische Fruchtaromen und dazu ein leicht malziger Abgang, der Lust auf mehr macht.

Das nächste Bier ist das FestivAle, welches nicht auf der homepage genannt wurde, aber der Kellner und eine seelenlose Tafel an der Wand empfahl. Bei solchen Fürsprechern konnte ich natürlich nicht widerstehen. Es handelt sich um ein "světlý ale", was ich mal als "Pale Ale" übersetze, an dem es eigentlich auch nichts auszusetzen gibt, außer dass ein bisschen das Alleinstellungsmerkmal fehlt. Das Bier ist gut gehopft und hat eine moderate BIttere, was ich mir bei einem solchen Bier erwarte. Dazu eine ordentliche Süffigkeit und leichte Fruchtaromen.

Bottle. Hoppy aroma, malty notes, citrus and grassy notes. Tastes the same as aroma, medium bitter. Light to medium body, long hoppy bitter finish. Ok.

Pours hazy orange with a small, foamy, off-white head; little lacing. Aroma of lemon zest, physalis or groundcherry, orange peel, wort, mango juice, yeast, bready malt. Medium fruity sweet in taste, hint of orange, lemony sour touch, more sweetness added by hints of 'wort', quite yeasty in character; a light hoppy bitterness pops up before finishing dryish, slightly hoppy & fruity, sweetish actually, and a bit sour. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Somewhat unrefined, on the sweet side.

On tap at Stupavar beer pub. Light hazy yellow color with medium white head. Aroma: grapefruit, lime, pale malt. Taste: grapefruit, resin, pale malt,light acidity. Light body, moderate carbonation, moderate bitterness. Tasty summer beer.

Tap at Stupavar beer pub. Light golden color with huge white head. Lively carbonation. Aroma of malt and hops. Taste starts malty followed by nice hoppy kick. Long hoppy bitter finish. Nice, tasty well made beer.

Tap at Stupavar pub. Dark reddish color with medium pinkish head. Aroma of banana, blackcurrant, raspberries. Strong fruity taste with raspberries and blackcurrant, light banana. Nice refreshing summer beer.

0.2 l on tap at '100 pív'. Clear, golden with a medium large, slightly creamy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy-spicy aroma of grains, some straw and quite a bit of butter. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, gently grassy-spicy taste of grains, straw and butter, followed by a short, medium bitter, gently grassy-spicy and quite dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, very smooth and a bit effervescent mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Classic Bohemian Lager, even too heavy on the diacetyl for my liking.

On tap at Stupavar foto café. Golden color with high stable white head. Aroma: nice and juicy, mango, grapefruit, pine, grassy notes - so far so good. Taste: starting nice with citrusy, grassy and resinous notes, followed by harsh bitterness with bit of un-natural feeling. Medium body, moderate carbonation, moderate to high bitterness. I expected more - this is an average sesh.
