We are a small packaging microbrewery located in Farmville, North Carolina. We sold our first beer in August of 2004. We specialize in beautiful, delicious, full flavored dark beers. Bottle. Very dark brown, brown head that settles quickly. Aroma of burnt coffee and dark cocoa. Taste is similar. Medium body. OK.

Tap at Rustico. Poured a pitch black color with a nice tan head. Aroma was chocolate, coffee, roasted malts. Flavor was sweet malts, coffee, chocolate. Very enjoyable.

Pizzeria Paradiso, Alexandria tap ($6): I don’t feel like writing a review, but here it is: Roasted malts. Alcohol. Awesomeness. Would I know this is a Baltic Porter based on the European examples I have sampled? No, not really. This tastes nothing like some amazing Baltic Porters I’ve had. Is this good? Yes. Yes, it is.

Pours deep amber into a snifter. White head recedes to nothing. Caramel aromas. Sweet dark caramel upfront turning to mild resin in the dry lasting finish.

Pours mahogany-tinged black into a shaker. Tan micro head with excellent retention recedes to skim surface. Medium bodies with dark chocolate and alcohol soaked pit fruit upfront. Lasting sweet milk chocolate and resin finish.

Draft at Brewvival 2012. Pours a very dark brown color with a thin frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of huge whisky notes, wood and raisin notes. The taste is whisky, raisin and mild hops. Medium bodied.

355ml bottle. Brown colour with a nice formation of light tan, creamy and frothy head. Nice lacework on the cup. Aroma is sweet, malty and alcoholic. Flavour is bittery form the beginning to the end, with some honey hints, vinous traces and alcoholic. Dense on palate with a long aftertaste. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium to high. Texture is oily.

Very sweet aroma with sticky feeling that makes me wonder how oversweet the taste might be. Some ripe fruits and sugar. Flavour has alcohol, some fruits, berries and biscuits. Warming finish with almost stinging alcohol. Not good, too much alcohol and sweetiness.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours slighlty hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of fruits, raisins, caramel and malt with a hint of smoke. Sweet and a bit unpleasant, but drinkable.
